Since 1954, fire fighters across the country have collected critical funds in the community – one dollar at a time – as part of the Fill the Boot program to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The partnership between MDA and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) began when the IAFF signed a proclamation designating MDA as its charity of choice, vowing to continue raising awareness and funds to ensure effective treatments and therapies are found. The dollars raised through Fill the Boot fund MDA’s mission of empowering people living with neuromuscular disease to achieve their potential.https://firefighters.mda.org/
Walking, talking, eating, hugging – every day, kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases can have these abilities taken away.
For more than 60 years, firefighters like us across the country have been Filling the Boot on street corners to fight back against these diseases – and every year we’ve given millions of dollars to MDA to fund life-changing research and family services. We’re hitting the streets to do it again, and while we’re out there, you can help us fill our boots online.
For more than 40 years Ladonia Volunteer Fire Department has been donating and supporting MDA now we are asking you to help support families in our community so we can all grow stronger and live longer together.
Thank you for your help!
